What We Do

SCHOLARSHIPS 

Each spring, the Hoover Academic Booster Club awards scholarships to deserving graduating seniors who plan to further their education.  Through generous donations, HABC awards up to fifteen $500 scholarships in the following categories:

  • Academic excellence and leadership

  • Athletic and academic achievement

  • Honor roll

  • Most improved GPA

  • Community service and academic achievement

  • Company-sponsored scholarships

Each year the number and type of scholarships awarded varies subject to the level of donations received.

ACADEMIC LETTERS

Each fall, students who maintain a 3.75 weighted GPA or above for the previous school year will receive a Hoover High School academic letter provided by the HABC.  Gold bars are presented to students who maintain a 3.75 weighted GPA or above in subsequent school year and have already received their letter.

STUDENT INCENTIVES

Student incentives are provided to Academic Award recipients each semester if the recipient maintains at least a weighted GPA of 3.75. Some incentives include VIP Parking, monthly prizes and Independent Study days are awarded when available.
