ACADEMIC CHALLENGE TEAMS CONTINUE TO DELIVER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Students selected by the advisor (through two try-out sessions) compete all year against area high school teams either at the varsity and/or junior varsity level. Each team is comprised of 10-15 students. Students involved draw upon strategic skills and wide areas of knowledge.

Students answer questions in the following categories: American Government, American Literature, English/World Literature, Fine Arts, Life Science, Math, Physical Science, U.S. History World History, and World Geography. All matches are governed by national Academic Challenge rules.

The middle school fields a team of sixth through eighth-grade students. The middle school team is also selected by an advisor (through one try-out session).
