GAY-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE

GS+A is the Gay-Straight Alliance. This group of students focuses on promoting fair treatment for and opposing bullying of ALL students at Hoover. GS+A is a club created to assure a safe environment where productive discussions and activities can be held regarding the LGBTQ+ community. Allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community join together to achieve this goal. Our mission is to be a positive and inclusive force at Hoover High school. GS+A meets once a month right after school in the Tri-Star.

The group was founded during the 2013-14 school year. Activities have included assisting with the 2014 Gay Games in Cleveland, guest speakers, and fellowship.
